[ There's a shy smile that fades, though the shyness lingers, in and of itself.

He releases a small breath, and then he closes his eyes. It's very quick: one second he's there, and then the next? There's a tiny creature sitting there. Said bat lets out a tiny squeak as he stretches his wings. Then, he's peering up at them with some shy nervousness. . . ]

[Akira inhales sharply, eyes widening...]

Kurama. [His hand comes down to the fox's neck and gives a little shake.] Kurama.

[HE ALREADY CAN'T HANDLE THIS?????????]

[Kurama's mental laughter rings clear as a bell at Akira's cute-related distress. He leans down and nuzzles the tiny bat before giving a careful grooming lick to the black fur.]

You're adorable, Ren.

[ There's a squeak of very effortless protest as he ducks his head.

Guess what he can't do? He's just reaching up to get a very tiny tug at whatever fur those tiny paws can grab.

Though, Akira should be able to sense the fluster. ]

[That's Akira's protest at Kurama licking Ren...]

[But... he reaches over and pets his head with his forefingers.]

Can I pick you up, Ren?

[Kurama sounds terribly amused by Akira's protests. He lays down so he isn't looming over the tiny anymore.]

[ There's a blink at the protest, and he tilts his head at the human. The pet has those eyes closing for a moment... but, after, he's moving over to briefly nuzzle Kurama back.

At the question, there's a tiny squeak. He briefly ducks his head, shyness there, even as he lifts both wings in the universal gesture.

[Akira looks so offended by this cuteness overload????]

[Of course, it doesn't stop him from gently scooping baby Ren up, slowly bringing him up and closer to his face and god... his expression really melts, then.]

[Kurama gives a soft, affectionate trill when Ren nuzzles him. He lays his head on his front paws as he watches Akira pick Ren up.]

[ There's a softer squeak-like sound as he brings both wings up, shielding his face. Omg, stoooop...??? ]

[He gives a light laugh at that reaction, and leans down, placing a gentle kiss to one of the wings.]

[Kurama watches the two of them fondly from his spot on the floor.]

[ Very slowly, he's lowering the wings, head tilted at Akira. He's going to take a moment to stretch the wings out, but... There's something definitely awkward in the movements.

He's not remotely used to using them...

But, that doesn't stop him from flapping them. He manages to get... pretty high up into the air? Buuuuut...

... Well, it isn't too long after that, he's spiraling back down. Geronimo??? ]

[—oh! Akira watches, a smile growing on his face. When he starts falling, though, he reaches out with his hands, cupping them to neatly catch Akira in them.]

Woah! Gotcha.

[Kurama shakes himself and climbs to his feet. He rests his forepaws on Akira's leg as he leans in to nose gently at Ren after he's caught.]

[ There's a frustrated squeak as he moves back to his feet, after being caught. Without thinking, he gently licks Akira's thumb, and then nuzzles Kurama.

He's... fine. Just disappointed. ]

[He glances over at Kurama as he puts his forepaws on him, when— oh... oh no??? Tiny bat kisses... Akira is so blessed.

He's just grinning stupidly for a moment when the disappointment finally sinks in, and his gaze softens.]

Hey... you'll get it. I know you will. Keep trying.

One of us will always be here to catch you until you're ready to fly.

[There's a soft edge to the words and Kurama carefully nudges Ren with his nose. Boop.]

[ He's looking between them...

... Then, he's just... going to flap until he can fly over to Kurama's head, where he'll flop a bit. Not that he's giving up...? Because, in the next moment, he's going to flap those wings until he can fly over to Akira's head.

Akira gives a blink as Ren takes off again, hands hovering a bit just to be safe, but it looks like he doesn't need it, this time.

He's careful not to move his head with the baby bat on top of it.]

See? You're getting the hang of it!

[Well, if he's going to be way up there. Kurama lifts up on his hind legs, one paw resting against Akira's arm for support. He checks in on the baby bat in Akira's hair before settling back down and curling up in Akira's lap.]

Practice makes perfect, after all.

[ He gives a softer sounding squeak as he nuzzles into Akira's hair a bit...

And then he's going to fly back down, aiming for either Akira's hands or Kurama - whichever he lands on first. ]

[—o-oh. His expression softens at the fox in his lap greatly, and his hand comes up to gently scratch behind an ear... He watches Ren land in the mound of fur that is Kurama's body and gives a soft chuckle, fingers coming up to pet his head again.]

Look at you. Practically a natural-born flier.
