Hell is... about what anyone could imagine - and then some. If you aren't at the top, you're trampled on. And, to get to the top, you have to be unforgiving, cruel, calculating, determined...

And willing to make deals with Satan herself.

[Kurama makes a quiet chirping noise. He'd guessed about the Satan thing after finding out Viné's name, honestly, so the last part isn't a shock. As for the rest....ha...]

The weak and the stupid die, or worse than die, unless they are pretty and 'lucky' enough to be made a pet of someone stronger. Right?

His lips thin at that. He's not— terribly surprised? Heh. . . not after what he was put through, for sure. But it does make him wonder...]

[He finally shifts to sit beside Viné.]

Guess it's called hell for a reason, huh...

[ His lips are pressing together tightly... ]

[Kurama is just quiet for a moment before licking Viné's hand.]

[ Aside from staring at the fox with outright shock, he's now competing with the humble tomato for reddest fruit. ]

[ Now he's huffing at Akira!!! ]

[ At least there's no genuine anger here; just some major fluster. ]

[He gives a grin.]

[Kurama just chirps in a pleased way and lays his head down.]

[ He's blushing even more before he gives a soft grumble and looks away. ]

I've been hearing that a lot lately.

[He's considering something for a moment... and then he reaches over and gently takes Viné's hands, placing them on top of Kurama's head.]

[ A quiet sound escapes. ]

[ His fingers curl a bit... ]

[The vines start to shift a bit, still curled around Viné's arms but instead of binding them right up against each other there is a short length of vine between them. He isn't free but he has a little more flexibility of movement.]

[Akira shifts a little to get comfortable, gaze softening as Kurama loosens the vines.]

...so, can I ask why you were so nervous, anyway? I mean, obviously we wouldn't hurt you while you're in our boyfriend's body. Or is it just an instinctive response?

[ There's a considerable amount of tension swelling within him. His fingers curl and then straighten out before he shakes his head. ]

But, then, he gives a very, very tentative and subtle scratch behind one ear. ]

[Akira's going to give a small smile, placing his hand on Viné's free one.]

Maybe just a little.

[ There's the hint of his breath catching as his cheeks darken. ]
