Yes... Once personally, and left to wait and worry and discover the worst when someone I love was put through it a second time.

[Kurama opens the door and steps inside, his egg cradled in one arm carefully.]

Odd, the things we've been finding in this place, though I've gotten stranger. And more unpleasant.

After Afterparty

[Akira leads Kurama into a room, and closes the door behind him. He tosses the cookie that he barely ate to Yuuki, who jumps up and catches it, eating it in one gulp.]

Okay...

[Akira sits them both down on the bed.]

I'm not just going to give you good feelings. It won't feel authentic and it won't be long until your usual feelings come back.

[He gives Kurama a gentle nod.]

So... I'll encourage you to have a release first. It's going to hurt... a lot at first.

Are you still okay with this?

That depends... How far is this likely to open the emotional floodgates, Akira? I could genuinely hurt you if I lost too much control.

[Kurama shakes his head a little, looking uneasy at the idea.]

Well, when I say it's gonna hurt a lot...

What exactly would I be in store for?

....if I genuinely, completely lost control of my ki or my Psyches? Akira, I could kill you.

[There's something painfully haunted to those words. Kurama shakes his head and starts to stand.]

[Akira gently tugs his wrist back down.]

I'm not giving up that easy. Tell me more. What exactly would trigger you losing control like that?

[Kurama hesitates but doesn't pull free.]

It would depend on just what got released. At worst, just touching me would-

Even if we were already touching? [...] It'd be a release of emotion. Things that you normally keep bottled up. Pain, fear, grief...

[byanyother_name]

...maybe not. I'm not certain.

[Kurama gives Akira a slightly grim half smile.]

Anger?

If you want a release for anger, I could do that too, but... that'd probably be better for if you had a room full of objects to take out your anger on.

[Thoughtfully:] I wonder if Lucas could help set up a room like that...

[And then he looks to Kurama.] But... for now, we'd just focus on the other feelings.

Then you can control just which emotions are unleashed?

[A little of the coiled tension eases into tentative relief.]

Technically, I can manipulate each individual emotion at will. I can't do more than three at the same time, though, and it's even harder if I'm encouraging certain emotions while trying to dampen others.

[His hand comes up to fidget a bit with his bangs.]

Also, you knowing I'm doing it is going to make it a lot tougher, as well... Because once you know, it tends not to have as strong as an effect. But...

It might still be just as effective, if not more so... if you really just... let yourself sink into it. In other words... don't fight it.

I'm not sure you realize just what you're asking of me, Akira...

[But he settles back next to him properly at last. He's quiet for a long moment. Finally, Kurama leans slightly into Akira.]
