[After everything's wound down, Akira will be seeking Kurama out. Unfortunately, his damned ability is still going... And he's looking a little drained. But, nevertheless, he'll be nodding to the other.]
I'm just glad you're alright. You're quite welcome.
[As calm (if tired) as he seems, his image is far from that. The agony and rage from before? That's still there. Plus it is fretful and restless, nearly frantic with worry.]
[Akira leads Kurama into a room, and closes the door behind him. He tosses the cookie that he barely ate to Yuuki, who jumps up and catches it, eating it in one gulp.]
Okay...
[Akira sits them both down on the bed.]
I'm not just going to give you good feelings. It won't feel authentic and it won't be long until your usual feelings come back.
[He gives Kurama a gentle nod.]
So... I'll encourage you to have a release first. It's going to hurt... a lot at first.
[It's a little before noon that Kurama is stepping out of the Anger Room. He takes a slow, deep breath as he exits, running his fingers through ruffled and messy hair to neaten it.
He actually startles a little when he sees Akira. With almost anyone else, he might be embarrassed to have it known that he let go like this. That he's releasing some of his iron control.
But it's Akira, who has already seen him, helped him, release over a thousand years of that iron control. So he just offers a small, faintly sheepish smile.]
No, you're fine. Akira, you're always welcome here.
[Is this the first time Akira has been to his room since they changed? Kurama's isn't much different except a lot of the old pictures have been replaced by pictures of an older woman with scarred arms. And apparently a bar was installed.
They really shouldn't be encouraging his drinking.]
[Kurama closes the door before moving to slide a gentle, supportive arm around Akira.]
...I have been better. But I think I'm coping better than many others. He looks like- But I didn't know him, really. Something about me seemed to unnerve him and he avoided me.
[He tilts his head down to rest against Akira's.]
If you'll excuse the observation, it doesn't seem you can say the same...

Hey... thanks for earlier.

What about you? [Looking him over...] Were you able to get those injuries taken care of?
no subject
I treated them. They aren't that serious, so you don't need to worry about me.
no subject
I'm pretty sure I saw you leaving a trail in the snow. That's not really what I'd call being mildly wounded...

Are you still okay with this?

[Kurama shakes his head a little, looking uneasy at the idea.]

[Should be a pretty clear indicator.]
What exactly would I be in store for?

[There's something painfully haunted to those words. Kurama shakes his head and starts to stand.]

Good morning, Akira.

He's a lot better at giving his advice than taking it.
There's a soft blink at the sight of Kurama, followed by a pleased smile.]
Hey, Kurama. Glad to see that room's getting put to good use.
Did it help?
no subject
[He coughs slightly, glancing up at the ceiling and running a hand through his hair again even though it's neat now.]
...it might need a little time to reset.
no subject
[He slides his hands into his pockets.]
It does feel like you're doing better than before... that's a relief. [His gaze softens just a touch.] I really was worried about you.

Monday
Um...
[His hand comes up and runs over his face.]
If this is a bad time, I can go.

[Is this the first time Akira has been to his room since they changed? Kurama's isn't much different except a lot of the old pictures have been replaced by pictures of an older woman with scarred arms. And apparently a bar was installed.

[He manages a weak smile, slowly looking up to Kurama. His eyes are glossy and his gaze is vulnerable...
Quietly, he comes inside and gives another sniff.]
How're you holding up?
no subject
...I have been better. But I think I'm coping better than many others. He looks like- But I didn't know him, really. Something about me seemed to unnerve him and he avoided me.
